Its not about being able to control the thoughts. It’s about allowing those thoughts to be there and be unaffected by them. It’s the importance you place on those old thoughts and feelings that used to create an identity for you.
Finding inner peace and connectedness with who you are at your core, comes from letting go of the attachments to being the victim. How one reaches an Enlightened state is not to change every thought and feeling that comes up, but to be still and present to what is, no matter what thought comes up.
To feel pure love and want to share and give as much as you possibly can because it makes you feel good. You let go of the ego self, you are one with god now.
Your state of consciousness becomes elevated to a level past any old negative thought pattern that used to bother you and you become empowered by this new state that sees the light.
You become the observer. Your state of being now is who you were meant to be. Here and now.
