#LedLight #HWDsouthDIY Happy New Year everyone! New year, new led light install. The light looks good and the install was easy ( a little trouble with the decorative part at the end).
Here are the steps I followed installing this light.
1.First, find and turn off the breaker that supplies power to the light.
2.Verify the new fixture has all its parts before taking the old down.
3.Remove the old fixture, make a note of how the wires were connected to it before you disconnect them. This will help you connect the new fixture correctly, and worst case, allow you to put the old fixture back in service if needed, maybe new one didn't have all the parts(step 2) or something like that.
4. Attach the mounting bracket to the junction box.
5. Attach the threaded rod to the mounting bracket. Adjust how far the rod extends below the ceiling so the fixture will be flush against the ceiling when installed.
6. Reconnect wires and carefully tuck them into the j-box. Raise the fixture over the threaded rod and attach nut to hold it in place.
7. Attach the diffuser and decorative ring to fixture.
8. Turn on the breaker, flip the switch and check out your new fixture.
