Mecidiyeköy is a district located in Şişli district of Istanbul province. It is located between Şişli and Esentepe districts, on both sides of Büyükdere Street, mainly in the northern part.

The region, on which Mecidiyeköy is located, is one of the regions of the European side of Istanbul, which was rapidly opened to settlement after the 1950s and has become one of the dense housing, business and traffic centers of the city since this period.
