In November 2020, the Minnesota Justice Research Center held a virtual convening to bring together criminal justice practitioners, legal experts, scholars, advocates, and people directly impacted by the system to re-imagine a justice system that functions more effectively, humanely, and with the public’s trust.
On Day 2 of the conference, we were joined by four distinguished guests to engage in a conversation about the fight to restore voting rights.
Those guest included:
- Rep. Rena Moran - Rep. for District 65A, Minnesota House of Representatives
- Desmond Meade - President of the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC)
- Anika Bowie - Creator, Run Like Harriet, Vice President, Minneapolis NAACP
- Craig Coleman - Partner, Faegre Drinker, ACLU
