Dyno
Done in the Northern Beaches, Australia.
It was performed in 5th gear as it is 1 to 1 ratio on this car.
476.5 whp / 359.7 FtLb was the best result of the day but was hitting around the 470 hp mark for all other runs.
Unfortunately this dyno cut off at 240 km and 5th gear at 8000 rpm in this car reaches 260 km so we could only get the car up to 7250 rpm. We could have possibly squeezed a few more horses out if we hit closer to 8000 rpm.
Review:
VF570 Supercharger Kit - It performs flawlessly and really enhance the cars drivability. VF Engineering really did a great job in keeping the car's characteristics while giving it the huge power I felt the car was always missing. The kit is also aesthetically great. They have done well matching the stock look of the engine. The car almost feels stock until you put your foot down. The power is also very linear I find it great for the street and everyday driving.
Bilstein B16 pss10 - The coilovers also greatly enhance the cars drivability. As I use this car mainly for street use with a few track days per year the Bilstein B16 kit was the perfect compromise.
Nitto NT05 -
Pros: - Loads of grip when warm. - Good grip in wet - Excellent Value - Many sizes - Tyre wear seams pretty good.
Cons: Noisy - Takes a full lap at the track to get up to temp. Not ideal for street. Need to be driving for a while to get the tyres up to temp but the tyres are usually warm enough by the time the car has fully warmed up anyway.
Overall a good affordable tyre for Street/Track. There are definitely better alternatives out there but for 3 x the cost. The noise isn't too bad.
