So, last motor sport event of the season yesterday and deciding round for the ACSMC hillclimb and sprint championships. This was my final competitive run on the day and I was up for an all out assault to try and claim 2nd place in class. The efforts of this attempt are in the video.... all went well and it felt like it was going to be great time, good enough for second... who knows as a massive spin at Camp corner at 90mph saw me off and very nearly in to the tyre wall... Still not sure why it broke away, i know i was carrying a fair bit of speed in to the corner but wasn't cornering hard at the time, it just seem to go over a little unevenness in the track and snapped out.. must admit I thought it was all over for the car, stopped just inches from the tyre wall!
