Take a peek at what we put our products through before they hit production and are ready for you to purchase.
A couple months ago, we took our 1989 Mustang LX Coupe to Motorsport 4the Masses to gradually add in our suspension products and note the changes that were made over the factory components.
In the first run you’ll see there is a notable amount of lateral deflection with the rear axle housing and Kyle noted that the transitions in cornering on and off power left a lot to be desired. In the very next run where we just added our Swivel-Link™ Kit Kyle stated that “The car feels much more responsive and precise across rear of car with SL added in. This is a noticeable difference with SL add alone.”
In the second part of the video, our Mustang has the complete Detroit Speed setup installed. As the car has run hard all day, the factory differential began to fail, which was quickly resolved after testing with a trip to Gearfx Driveline. With that aside, the car experienced virtually no lateral axle deflection and allowed the car’s handling to be much more precise and quicker to react. While the car performs much greater than stock, Detroit Speed products do not sacrifice ride quality and uphold the comfort you would expect from a modern vehicle while driving on the street.
