Andreas Schleicher is joined by colleagues from the OECD, World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF, IEA and UIL, as well as representatives from participating countries, to summarise the experiences and outcomes of the PISA for Development (PISA-D) out-of-school assessment initiative.
Among its main conclusions, this virtual workshop held on 3 December 2020 confirmed that the learning needs of children who are not enrolled in school are no longer beyond the reach of large-scale learning assessment and offered a set of next steps for PISA-D and other learning assessment modules to be implemented in the context of household surveys to ensure that “no one will be left behind” when it comes to learning assessment data.
