Hamar, NORWAY - 1994 Lillehammer, Figure Skating, Ladies' Free Skate - Oksana Baiul of Ukraine skated well despite the injuries suffered from the collision with Tanja Szewczenko of Germany the day before. She would manage to complete her program with the help of anti-pain injections, but nerves have made some of her landings a bit shaky. Nevertheless, she would win the Free Skate, edging out Nancy Kerrigan of the United States. By winning the Free Skate, she would move up from 2nd to win the Gold Medal here.
