Many times, it’s not the best teams out of the gate that are the true Super Bowl contenders once the NFL playoffs roll around… But rather the healthiest teams.

Football is a physical sport—and the unfortunate reality is that every team will have players go down with injuries throughout the year.

I don’t know if it’s a lack of preventative work by certain team’s strength coaches… or limitations within the training staff… or just plain old bad luck. But some teams seem to get hit by the injury bug harder than others… Both in terms of volume—and in terms of the significance of the players that actually get hurt.
