Restaurant owners in Sacramento are in the pressure cooker yet again as the pandemic presents more challenges in the new year. "Last week I had a few employees test positive," said Aziz Bellarbi-Salah, general manager of Brasserie du Monde in downtown Sacramento. "We were unable to staff enough." The lack of staffing due to COVID-19 meant Bellarbi-Salah had to close down his restaurant for a week. They only just re-opened on Wednesday, following the loss of significant revenue. "Diligent masking, diligent wellness tests, temperature tests, testing of employees, those all remain in place," Bellarbi-Salah said.
