Welcome back to the Oh No No No podcast and it's time for a small celebration! One year ago today, we put out our first episode after Dylan Easton's inspired double saw us win down at Somerset Park. Since then, we've had the fortune to talk about some truly ridiculous football matches and the highs and lows of Raith Rovers FC.
Starting off with a squad of 11 contributors, we've expanded our ranks and we're continuing to try to operate as somewhere for Rovers fans to get their fill on what's going on at Stark's Park. We've had listeners in countries as varied as Myanmar to Ecuador, and we're delighted that we've had such positive feedback in our first year. We're only just getting started.
To celebrate, John Greer has been kind enough to provide another of his Reminiscing Raith sessions from earlier this year, which are run in conjuction with the Raith Rovers Community Foundation. The sessions offer an opportunity for Rovers fans to listen to personalities who have been involved with either Raith or the wider Scottish football game telling their story. It gives a chance for people to come together, have a bit of lunch and a bit of a blether.
The interviewee in this case is club legend Laurie Ellis. With over 359 games over three spells scoring 10 goals he has been a player, assistant manager, and caretaker boss at different points. His iconic bullet header against Dundee will live long in the memories of Rovers fans on the day they turned Dens red.
For more information about the sessions, be sure to follow the Community Foundation and keep an eye out on the club website!
