A Vinton family is in need after a fire destroyed their home on Sunday, just days before Christmas.
A GoFundMe has been set up in the aftermath, and it has raised more than $7,000 as of Tuesday morning.
"My mom has been through a lot, and she’d never think in a million years to ask for help, so I’m doing this on her behalf. I’ve asked her multiple times if there is anything she wants and she simply replies, “my mom”, and my grandma passed away earlier this year," the organizer and family member of the victims Chandlynne Reichenbacker said. "If you have any means of being able to help, be it a donation or just a share or words of encouragement, appreciative is an understatement. Even with the circumstances, my family wants to wish you a very Merry Christmas."
