(12 Jul 2019) US Vice President Mike Pence visited the southern U.S. border on Friday afternoon to counter reports that migrants were being treated poorly.
Pence toured a migrant detention facility in Donna, Texas and then held a roundtable with Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas, where he praised agents for their work and condemned some Democrats for labeling the facilities "concentration camps."
"What we saw today was a facility that is providing care that every American would be proud of," Pence said.
Pence was joined by several Republican Senators during the tour and roundtable.
