Title: A Novel Power Management Strategy for Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid

Abstract: In this paper, a novel power management strategy is proposed for hybrid ac/dc microgrid which consists with two subgrids connected through an interlink Bi-directional DC-DC converter (BDDC). A power management controller (PMC) generates a reference voltage for interlink BDDC which controls the flow of power between the two subgrids. The PMC operates based on the dc bus voltage signaling of both subgrids. Hence, it does not require a communication line between the two subgrids. The operation of PMC is divided in to five modes depending upon the level dc bus voltage of each subgrids. The proposed power management strategy can effectively utilized the generated power of each subgrids. The power management control strategy is validated in Matlab/Simulink.
