छत्तीसगढ़ राज्य सरकार की ओर से गरीबों के बच्चों को भी बेहतर शिक्षा देने के लिए स्वामी आत्मानंद इंग्लिश मीडियम स्कूल की शुरुआत की गई है. मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल की ओर से शुरू किए गए इन स्कूलों में सब्जी बेचने वाले गरीब के भी बच्चे पढ़ते हैं और बड़े-बड़े अफसरों के भी. इन स्कूलों का इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर और वातावरण इतना बेहतरीन है कि ये सरकारी स्कूल किसी भी कॉन्वेंट को मात देते नजर आ रहे हैं. कुल मिलाकर छत्तीसगढ़ के अमीर से अमीर और गरीब से गरीब बच्चे को बेहतरीन शिक्षा के अवसर मुहैया करवाना इस योजना का सबसे बड़ा मकसद है.
