ECR MEP Edvard Kožušník interviews leading Cuban dissident Guillermo Fariñas, after he attends the ECR Group Meeting. Fariñas is an independent journalist and political dissident in Cuba. He has conducted 23 hunger strikes over the years to protest various elements of the Cuban regime. He has stated that he is ready to die in the struggle against censorship in Cuba. In 2010 Fariñas was awarded the Sakharov Prize [ Ссылка ] for Freedom of Thought by the European Parliament but he was only allowed to travel in 2013 to collect it.

ECR MEP Edvard Kožušník entrevista al principal disidente cubano Guillermo Fariñas, quien ha assistido a la reunión del Grupo ECR. Fariñas es un periodista independiente y disidente político de Cuba. Ha llevado a cabo 23 huelgas de hambre durante años para protestar contra diversos elementos del régimen cubano. Ha declarado que está dispuesto a morir en la lucha contra la censura en Cuba. En 2010 Fariñas se vio conceder el Sájarov por la Libertad de Conciencia del Parlamento Europeo pero sólo se le permitió viajar en 2013 para recogerlo.
