Turkish Manti
Dough
* 2 cups all purpose flour,
* 1 egg,
* 1/2 cup warm water,
* 1 teaspoon salt
Filling;
* 1 pound ground beef
* 1 onion, pureed
* 1 teaspoon black pepper
* 1 tsp salt
Sauce;
* 2 cups yoghurt
* 3 cloves garlic
* Salt
* 3 tablespoons butter
* 2 tbs olive oil
* 1 tablespoon tomato paste
* 1 tablespoon pepper paste
* 2 teaspoons Aleppo pepper flakes
* 1/2 cup water
* Salt to taste
Mix dough ingredients kneed until smooth, then let sit covered for 30 minutes.
Mix meat mixture.
Roll dough thin, then cut into 1.5 inch pieces. Place a small amount of meat mixture in center, then close.
Bring a pot of water to boiling add salt. Then cook Manti until they float.
Combine yogurt, salt and garlic.
In a pan add butter, olive oil, pastes, pepper flakes and water. Heat until combined. #turkish #cooking #manti
