Super easy, quick, & cheap but SO good. Macaroni and tomatoes with bacon and onions is so simple but the flavors go together so well. Easily add some ground meat and smoked sausage, turn it into a goulash. This can be a side dish or stand alone.
Macaroni & Tomatoes
1 lb cooked elbow macaroni
2 cans petite diced tomatoes
1 small onion chopped
5 pieces of bacon
Salt & pepper
1 tsp sugar
Fry bacon til crispy. Add onions & sautee. Add tomatoes, sugar & seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover & let simmer for 15 minutes. Combine with cooked noodles.
