SOT Richard Holbrooke, US Envoy "As part of our effort to deal with the extreme danger, caused by the situation in Kosovo. The situation is dangerous and President Mejdani made the same point. After that agreement of coarse there is not agreement on what to do next. Both the Albanian Government and Dr Rugova leadership espouse the priciple of solution by non-violence and that is extremely important to the United States. One of our main purposes on today's trip tp Pristina and Tirana is to demonstrate support for those principles and for Dr Rugova. We also came to Tirana to show our support for a nation that only a few years ago came out of a nightmare with promise and has encountered recently some difficulties.
