This video provides a brief outline of two commonly used devices to manage diabetes: continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. Diabetes, a disease that impacts many individuals’ lives, is briefly explained. Then further detail is provided about CGMs and insulin pumps, such as the different parts of the technology and how they are placed on the body. The different benefits and costs to using these wearable devices are also explored. Finally, we discuss how to support loved ones who use wearable devices to manage their diabetes.
