When Adam and Eve sinned, they disobeyed God’s instructions to them; to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Such disobedience broke sweet intimate fellowship between God and man. Mankind was separated from God’s holiness, righteousness, and glory.
Mankind now has a problem called sin and no human being could solve this problem. So because of God’s indescribable love for mankind; who is the Apex of God’s creation and not willing that mankind to be eternally separated from Him, God set the PLAN OF SALVATION and DELIVERANCE in motion, by sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ who is Holy, pure and completely obedient to the Father to pay the sin debt that mankind owed that they cannot pay because mankind was now contaminated by sin.
This is why Jesus had to suffer and die on the cross of Calvary, to become a ransom, a substitutionary sacrifice for mankind.
This is of great importance for us to understand in connection with our salvation, the scripture puts it this way in 2 Corinthians 5:21 “He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” In other words, God placed upon Jesus the odious agony so that you and I would receive Him will go free from Satan’s power and bondage of sin.
Isaiah chapter 53 describes so vividly; Jesus Christ; God’s only begotten Son was totally innocent, completely sinless, yet for mankind’s sake, He was despised, rejected, a Man of sorrow, acquainted with grief, smitten and afflicted by God.
He was wounded, taking on our transgressions, bruised, scourged for mankind’s iniquities, chastised, punished so mankind could have peace with God again. Jesus became mankind’s arbitrator and mediator, He took our punishment, He was beaten, with a Cat O’ nine’s tail, His flesh lacerated, ripped from the nine knotted thongs of wire and cotton cords at the end of each of the nine strands of the Cat O’ nine’s tail, a beaten He took for you and me.
His blood gushed everywhere from the crown of His head to the sole of His feet; making provision for mankind’s healing from every sickness and diseases.
In these unprecedented times, times the world has never seen before, global sickness and diseases, so many lives devasted by COVID-19, this one thing I know Jesus already declared to us the end from the beginning. In Matt. 20:17-19 Jesus declared to His disciples that He would be betrayed, condemned crucified to death. At the end of v. 19, Jesus said “and the third day He will rise again” what is very comforting about this is that; Jesus not only spoke about His death, He also spoke of His resurrection.
Beloved, We know how the story end and we know who holds the end in His hand; Jesus!
Beloved take comfort in knowing God has the last word and that word is VICTORY in Jesus Resurrected name! I encourage you to continue to look up that which you have Faith for and in you will see! Our Redeemer has come!
