EMI Webinar Series presents its second Webinar Session this year on "Nature Based Strategies for Coastal Defense". This webinar introduces nature-based strategies for coastal protection along with examples of where these solutions have been implemented
as well as key lessons learned and sound practices. The session provides a comparison between natural and structural solutions (soft and hard armoring) and discussions of the pros and cons of nature-based strategies that influence where and when decision-makers may wish to rely on nature-based strategies. The Webinar also provides an introduction to layered and mixed defense strategies.
