Shaun and Mike are on day 7 of their safari and are still determined to hunt the White Flanked Impala. The previous day, Mike had spotted a large specimen on the way into camp and Shaun couldn't stop thinking about the opportunity to add it to their trophy collection. After successfully hunting other game, they set out to relocate the impressive animal and try to get within range.
The White Flanked Impala is a subspecies of the common impala that is known for its distinctive white flank patch and large horns. It is considered a trophy animal for hunters due to its rarity and unique appearance, and this one particularly could potentially be a world record contender.
The hunt for the White Flanked Impala can be challenging and requires skill, patience, and the right equipment. With the guidance of a knowledgeable guide who is familiar with the local terrain and behavior of the animals, though Shaun, Mike, and Hannes were able to spot the animal the day before, it took them another day to get in the range and hunt the animal.
If you're interested in hunting for the White Flanked Impala or other big game in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, reach out to Huntershill Safaris or Hannes for assistance in planning your adventure.
