Sports science is a field that is growing rapidly, but it can still feel like the Wild West at times. Many people are unsure where to start, what equipment to purchase, or even if they can do it alone. It can be difficult to find the time for it all. In this lecture, I share the lessons I learned while launching a sport science and athlete monitoring program, with the help of PLNU's head strength coach, Erik Pedersen, CSCS*D RSCC. Some of the lessons will be relatable immediately, while others may come up later down the road. Also, best of luck to Coach Erik as he pursues his passion working with Olympic athletes in Charlotte, NC!
