Tesoro High of California junior teammates Mackenzie Forrest and Amber Dazey finished fourth and eighth, respectively, in the girls varsity sweepstakes race at the Orange County Championships at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, Calif. Forrest covered the 3-mile course in 17:01.3 and Dazey clocked 17:21 to help Tesoro place fourth as a team with 135 points. Forrest elevated from an 18th-place finish last season, with Dazey improving a 26th-place performance for the Titans at last year's Orange County Championships.
