A 10-year-old boy died after the scooter he was riding on lost control and fell into oncoming traffic, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Police say the boy was sitting in front of the scooter as 37-year-old Yordanis Leyva, who the department earlier said is his father, drove it. It's believed he was driving under the influence at the time of the crash, Tampa police said.
