SFU’s fourth and final NAIA softball championship was won by an underdog team that got hot at the right time. The team rolled off seven straight post-season victories, but the championship came down to a play at the plate in extra innings. Left fielder Jessie Harris made a long throw to catcher Nicola Collicut to put out the baserunner at home and send the Clan into celebration.
