Did you know there are micro plastics/fibres in our environment including our rivers?
They bioaccumulation in our rivers and they can’t be filtered out of our water treatment facilities. We are eating and drinking micro plastics.
Micro plastics are everywhere in places like the Bow River, North Saskatchewan River, Mount Everest, The Columbia Ice field and so many other places.
What can you do to help?
- Refuse single use plastics
- Buy clothing that comes from the environment like cotton
- Switch to natural reusable alternatives
- Make sure your waste is disposed of properly
- Educate yourself and others
