In the first episode of The Golf Show - Mexico, Erik visits wellness resort Chablé which is centered around a natural spring fed cenote hidden in the Mayan city of Mérida on the Yucatán Peninsula. Chablé does well to preserve and honor the spiritual connection that exists between a lost civilization and these hallowed grounds.

Erik also visits Yucatan Country Club and plays Jack Nicklaus designed course, El Jaguar. After learning of the human sacrifices associated with the cenotes, an eerie cloud lingers as Erik continues on his journey.
