Panelists shared innovative interventions for advancing gender-responsive climate action and ensuring women are both leaders and beneficiaries of renewable energy investments.
Women’s engagement in renewable energy is a critical entry point to address energy poverty, bolster economic empowerment, and advance climate resilience, especially in fragile and conflict-affected states. From increased opportunities to pursue paid work to improvements in school attendance and educational levels, access to renewable energy improves women’s livelihoods.
