Many of our problems in life occur because we fail to recognize the fundamental nature of reality - that it is a temporary dance of energy and spirit, and as a result we end up obsessing over matters of the flesh. But if we take "the illusion" idea too far, as some do in spiritual pursuits, we end up "heavenly minded but not earthly good." The solution is to strike a balance in the middle, which is the essence of Matthew 22:21, in which Jesus taught, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's." We must realize that we are spirit while we tend to our physical world issues at the same time. Don't stray too far in one direction or the other.
