Over 250,000 small scale farmers in Murang'a County have benefited from free fertilizer distributed by the county government.The fertiliser was distributed to more than 250,000 small- scale farmers in Muranga county. The county government has been distributing free fertilizer to boost maize production after poor harvests experienced last season. 1. 5 kilos of CAN fertilizer was distributed to farmers to enhance their farming activities. Most arable land has been depleted off nutrients and is in need of fertiliser which the county government said is included in a programme aimed at supporting agriculture in this county.
