Khato Civils construction company started the Masama-Mmamashia 100km pipeline project in the year 2020 and promised to finish the work within time and budget. The 100km pipeline is to supply water to the Southern part of Botswana; Greater Gaborone, Kgatleng, Kweneng, Ngwaketse, Lobatse and all the way to Goodhope in Borolong. On the 19th of May 2021 the project stood at 95% completion just 2 months before the end of the 12 months period.

Over and above that the project managers have indicated that, this particular project created employment for Batswana consisting of 36% women, 61% youth and engineering students were also engaged in the project to empower them with skills and experience.

Today, President Mokgweetsi Masisi takes a tour of the 100km water pipeline and officially open it.
