‘Earth Day: Invest in Our Planet’ was a partnership event hosted by United Nations House Scotland, United Nations Association Scotland, and United Nations Association of the United States of America in commemoration of Earth Day.
The event aimed to bring together representatives from civil society and the public sector to discuss the progress made since the Conference of the Parties (COP26), the UN’s Climate Change Conference and how grassroots organisations can work together more effectively in implementing the goals of the conference.
We apologise that we missed the recording of the first 5 minutes of the event which included welcoming remarks from Rachel Pittman, Executive Director of UNA-USA, housekeeping remarks from Chris Toward (UNHS) and Hana Shono (UNAS), and the beginning of Josh Oxby's overview of the outcomes of COP26.
