I didn't enter at an older age, but I was still in during my late 30s and let's just say I didn't see things the same in my late 30s as I did in my early 20s when I got in.
Plus, I worked with people who entered their 40s! Heck, the department where I used to work for several years just hired a guy in his 50s who is in better shape than most in their 20s. HAHA!
