Ahead of a parliamentary vote for Thailand's next leader, the fate of prime ministerial hopeful Pita Limjaroenrat hangs in the balance as two separate complaints against him gain momentum. The Constitutional Court has accepted a complaint against election winner Move Forward's plans to amend the lèse-majesté law. The lawsuit has written that it amounts to an attempt to "overthrow" the constitutional monarchy. The Move Forward Party has maintained that Mr Pita has the mandate to stand for prime minister.
