The Nahjul Balagha (Arabic: نَهْج ٱلْبَلَاغَة Nahj al-Balāghah; "The Way of Eloquence") is the most famous collection of sermons, letters, tafsirs and narrations attributed to Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a), cousin of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). Although it was collected by Al-Sharif al-Radi, a Shia scholar in the 10th century AD (4th century AH), the author of the book is Ali Ibn Abi Talib (a) himself. Known for its eloquent content, it is considered a masterpiece of literature in Shia Islam.
Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr (Arabic: محمد بن أبي بكر, 631–657), was the youngest son of the first Islamic caliph Abu Bakr. His mother was Asma bint Umais, who was a widow of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib prior to her second marriage with Abu Bakr. He became the stepson of the fourth caliph Imam Ali (a)
