Here we go. Day #59, #60 and #61 of my freediving journey to 70 meters.
The last 3 days were one thing over and over again: FRC-Dives.
FRC means Functional Residual Capacity, in other words you exhale before you dive down, therefore you are less buoyant, start the free fall way earlier, take the mouthful way earlier and since you do not go as deep you do not build up nitrogen and you can do many many dives on a single day which helps you to practice equalisation, relaxation and gives you a chance to improve your free fall.
These three days combined are another revelation and a major improvement of my freediving technique.
Check out the video to find out why.
I'm looking forward to go deep again. 63 or 65 meters now seems to be totally in my comfort zone now as I improved so many things and know that I definitely have enough oxygen, that I can easily equalise to that depth and that I won't feel the pressure. Awesome.
PD: I played around in Ableton a bit and recorded a quick'n'dirty version of a freediving song which I used for this video.
