Today on our 2015 Ford 150 Super Crew Cab, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC2327. That's tire size 275-65R18. These Titan snow tire chains are for light duty trucks, and they feature a diamond pattern, rather than a ladder pattern, which means more tire coverage, so you're going to get better traction. They also feature square links, so you're going to get that extra, superior grip on snow and ice. Most tire chains require a rubber adjuster, or an additional part to help keep them tight, and snug around the tire. The integrated tensioner here, helps eliminate the need. Also, you might notice that they have smaller links than most chains, so they're going to provide you with a smoother ride. They have a maximum speed rating of 30 mph, and they come in a quantity of two.
Included, also, is this nice bag, so you can stow them when not in use. Let's go ahead and show you how easy they are to get installed. Now, we're going to be putting tire chains on the rear tires of our F150, because it is rear-wheel drive. To begin our test fit, I've gone ahead and laid out the chain. It's a good idea to make sure there's no kinks, twists, or any tangles in it. You'll also want to be sure that the hooks, the open side is facing up, and away from our tire. With the way I have it laid out, that's going to happen.
With it laid out, let's go ahead and bring that cable around the back side of our tire. We want to stop when we get to the center of the cable. Should be about there. Then we can grab the cable on each side, we'll bring it up around the back side of the tire. Then we'll connect it together. Then at the same time, we'll drape that chain over the top portion of our tire.
Then we can come over to our green hook, and connect it to one of our yellow links. I'm just going to go with the third one, here. Then we'll move onto the bottom. We'll take our red channel here, and our gray chain, we're going to come up through that channel. You want to pull it up as high as you can, so you it locks into place, right here.
Then we're going to come up through the red loop here, and then up through the second one. Then we're going to connect it directly across. Once you get one side done, go ahead and repeat the same process for the opposite side. It is a good idea to drive a short distance, stop, get out, and check to see if you need to make any adjustments. That's going to complete our test fit on Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC2327, on our 2015 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab.
