Today we explored an abandoned K-6 school in Connecticut. The school was voted to be shut down in 2016 and closed its doors in early 2017, this vote was cast due to the town's financial resources. The property was bought by the private landowner with plans to convert this property into a nursing home, however, no action has yet been taken and local kids continue to use the field and playground. We later found out from one of the officers that the school was also shut down due to an asbestos issue.
