In reality, clothing choice is NOT a factor in sexual assault; it is an excuse used by the offender to justify violence and shift responsibility to the victim. Talking about the way a victim was dressed places the burden for the crime on the victim of the violence, rather than on the perpetrator of the violence where it rightfully belongs.
