I had the unique opportunity of being one of the few to witness the start of Vendée Globe 2020 right where it happened, as this year it was closed from the public because of the pandemic. This video follows the first skipper from Finland (or any other Nordic country) to participate in the race: 58-year-old airline pilot Ari Huusela and his boat STARK.
Vendée Globe is the greatest sailing race round the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance, starting from Les Sables d'Olonne in France on November 8th 2020.
