Patients given oxygen in ambulances as they make beeline outside Ahmedabad’s COVID-19 hospital
As Ahmedabad in Gujarat witnessed a sharp spike in COVID-19 cases amid shortage of beds, patients could be seen getting treated inside ambulances as they made beeline outside Ahmedabad’s biggest COVID-19 facility – Ahmedabad Civil Hospital.
The 1200-bed facility had no beds that compelled doctors to administer oxygen to patients while they waited to occupy beds in their respective ambulances.
