ProStart culinary students from Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove, and Rolling Meadows high schools competed in the second annual Great District 214 Culinary Bake-off. This event is a collaboration with State Sen. Ann Gillespie, Arlington Heights Memorial Library, and Harper College. Student teams created a sweet or savory bread and were judged by a panel of local chefs and community members. The winning teams from Elk Grove High School won scholarships from Harper College.
