EcoCushion Paper, commonly also referred to as Honeycomb Paper Wrap, or paper bubble, or green wraps, is an environment-friendly protective packaging alternative to plastic bubble wraps. As this is a new product in the market, many customers use it incorrectly or do not fully understand how to use it for proper protection of fragiles during shipping.
With this video, we are addressing some of the most common dos and don'ts relating to the usage of EcoCushion Paper Wraps (paper bubble wraps).
1. Stretch, stretch, and stretch - Paper Bubble wraps give cushioning because of the 3D honeycomb (hexagon) pattern that gets created once the paper is stretched. Many a times we have noticed that customers don't fully stretch the paper, which is a strict no-no as flat paper will not safeguard your products. So whether you are using EcoCushion Paper by hand or via a dispenser, always ensure to stretch the paper until you can see the entire hexa pattern.
2. For fragiles, please use extra layers. Wrapping with honeycomb paper is similar to using bubble wraps, where you intuitively use extra layers for fragiles such as glass, ceramics, etc. We recommend 3-4 layers of stretched paper bubble for wrapping fragiles.
3. Most damages in e-commerce transit can be attributed to courier handling. However, since that is not in our control, it is important to focus on the part which is in our control, i.e. protective packaging. We noticed many brands that leave empty spaces in the corrugated box or the pouch after placing the wrapped product inside. This empty space leads to the product crashing into the box and causing damages- we strongly recommend filling the empty spaces with void fillers (there are many eco-friendly options available, you can also refer to EcoCushion BoxFill [ Ссылка ] ) to leave no void space in the parcel. You can also try shaking the package to see if the product is moving inside or not - and accordingly add more fillers.
