This video is explaining why Generation Z is the most Conservative generation since WW2. Gen Z is most Conservative in the UK. More so than in America. Even in America though, Generation Z is the most Conservative generation since the Silent Generation.
Why is that? A brief summary of the 5 main reasons why.
1. Support of personal freedoms
- tired of the government telling us what we have to do all the time
2. Strong on National Security
- tired of lack of security such as floods of illegal immigrants and frequent terrorists
- America is 14 of top 50 countries vulnerable to cyber attacks with over 77,000 happening in 2015 alone
- Directly effected by 9/11 and the fears passed on by parents
- Adapting Isolationism to prevent further national security threats
3. We have the internet and know how to use it
- We can't be easily manipulated since we have unlimited knowledge at our finger tips and within seconds
- Learned to fact check, again with unlimited knowledge at hand
- We see raw details and info quickly with social media
4. Individualism over Collectivism
- Helping others starts with helping the individual
- Takes time and can't be done with a stroke of a pen or a phone call
5.We don't like the "you can't do that" mentality
- Sick and tired of safe spaces
- Don't like censorship at expense of feelings
- Won't put up with infringement of 1st amendment rights
