Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora has taken responsibility for the team’s poor defense in their recent defeats against the Tampa Bay Rays. The Red Sox made two costly errors which led to mini rallies by the Rays during the Sunday game. The latest loss was the second match in which the Red Sox made two errors, taking their total within 24 hours to four. Cora described the team’s defending as “sloppy” and added that he needed to coach them better, stating: “Defensively we’re not good.”
