FOCUS : French lawmakers are examining a new bill aimed at preventing further terror attacks like those that struck the French capital in January. While supporters of the bill say it is a crucial counter-terrorist effort aimed at giving the intelligence services much-needed new powers, others are fearful such an expansion of state surveillance could erode civil liberties.
