Bryant Perrella battled Alex Martin in a scheduled 8 round bout on December 8, 2017, from Hialeah park in Miami, Florida. This fight was broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series.
Perrella came out strong in round one, controlling the fight and even dropping Martin towards the end of the round with a sneaky right hook. Martin was able to get back to his feet and survived the round.
Perrella began to control the fight for the next few rounds, however Martin began to find his rhythm as the fight went on.
Unfortunately for Martin, his comeback came too late. Perrella bounced back after his first career loss to take home a unanimous decision victory over Martin after 8 action-packed rounds. This was Martin's third consecutive loss.
